RICHARD MILLE | RM 66 replica swiss watches, a hand holding the flying tourbillon movement, rock soul fully activated
RICHARD MILLE's latest RM 66, the "devil's horn" 18K gold hand gesture that suddenly appeared on the dial was originally used to drive away bad luck or evil eyes, and later it was also regarded as a meaning of continuing rock in rock music culture. In the RM 66 watch, this gesture is made concrete, and the palm made of 18K gold seems to extend from the back, holding the hand-wound flying tourbillon movement in one hand, reminding the world to cherish the present time. Among them, the spring box is fixed at the back of the hand, and the bent middle finger and ring finger just make room for the flying tourbillon at 12 o'clock. The skull on the central axis of the flying tourbillon, the Gothic crown, the 66 number, all the details of the design, vividly and powerfully show the meaning that this watch wants to convey, directly touching the heart.
The new RM 66 Flying Tourbillon is undoubtedly one of the most rebellious models in the collection, with its dazzling metal salute of "devil's horns", symbolizing a generation, a school of thought and a spiritual world. All those who, like Richard Mille, seek to challenge all limits will find resonance in the unique design of the RM 66 Flying Tourbillon. The first thing that catches the eye is the hollowed-out palm made of 5N red gold, holding the movement in the palm. As is always the case with Richard Mille, the palm in this piece presents an X-ray effect, paying tribute to the RM 052 Skeleton Tourbillon watch, reminding people of the importance of fearing death and making the most of the present moment. At the same time, the RM 66 Flying Tourbillon reminds people of the unruly and rock spirit of the 1960s, when this trend subverted people's lifestyles.replica luxury watches
The RM 66 Flying Tourbillon watch was designed by Cécile Guenat, Creative and Development Director of Richard Mille, inspired by the metal salute of the “devil’s horns”: the index finger and pinky are stretched out, and the thumb can be seen on the back of the watch holding down the middle and ring fingers. The five fingers on the hand are first milled and then handed over to the engraver to continue the hand-made work. This engraving process is completed by Olivier Vaucher, a famous engraver in Geneva. After a long and meticulous trimming and grinding, the outline of the phalanx is clearly visible, and the micro-sandblasting surface treatment further highlights the exquisite craftsmanship of the joints.
The fast-winding barrel in the manual winding movement of the RM 66 is located at 6 o’clock and provides 72 hours of power reserve. The tourbillon is located at 12 o’clock, a design that is a first for Richard Mille. The contours of the grade 5 titanium alloy movement fit the lines of the hand and are all fully hollowed out to ensure maximum transparency. This is thanks to a complex mechanical solution adopted by Richard Mille, a variable inertia flying tourbillon structure that enhances the skeleton effect, which is rare in Richard Mille watches. The tourbillon structure frame is only fixed at one end of its axis to avoid the upper bridge affecting the hollow feeling of the movement, thus achieving a better visual effect. Such a risky design is challenging, because Richard Mille's impact resistance test is one of the most stringent in the watchmaking industry. This unconventional design provides precious space for the 180-degree rotating tourbillon movement to perform. https://www.grand-watch.co
Bringing rock to life with the RM 66 Flying Tourbillon watch requires considerable technical ingenuity; in fact, the preliminary development work took 1,500 hours and the case team took another 9 months to complete the production. For example, the time scale points are like guitar picks and extend through the pointed design of titanium alloy. Despite the challenges of using titanium alloy on this work, we first polished and polished the above components to present a perfect micro-blasting effect. Finally, each hour marker is screwed to the titanium bezel. Polishing the beveled edges of the bezel before black electroplating is also an extremely delicate job. RICHARD MILLE's pursuit of detail is also reflected in the production of the spider-shaped crown in grade 5 titanium. The Gothic crown component on the round black rubber gasket is inlaid with a ruby. This structure is a great challenge to the assembly process. The engraved skull pattern once again pays tribute to the RM 052 Skeleton Tourbillon watch. When the barrel tension reaches the optimal state, the torque-limited crown will automatically disengage, thereby avoiding the risk of over-winding.
Julien Boillat, Richard Mille’s Technical Director of Cases, explains: “We spent more than 200 hours developing and finishing this component alone; the processing of the crown alone takes a further 12 hours. Titanium is much more difficult to polish than red gold or steel. Not only that, it is also very difficult to keep the crown stable during polishing, so we had to use a special clamp to fix it from the inside. So making this crown requires some tricks.” The rough style of the Carbon TPT® material used for the case contrasts sharply with the precious luster of red gold. The middle case of grade 5 titanium has a satin-finished column and polished bevels, and is embedded with a 5N red gold plate. This red gold plate has a “Clou de Paris” pattern and is processed and polished by hand to retain the avant-garde feeling unique to punk belts. Just like its extreme control of details, it is not only a brand-new work full of vitality and dynamism, its unruly spirit is fascinating, but also a perfect presentation of the brand image.
